UNIMATIC Introduces the Impronte Collection with Ten Limited Editions

A new collection explores the idea of the imprint through relief, texture and depth across UNIMATIC’s dive, GMT, chronograph and military-inspired platforms.

UNIMATIC Impronte Collection, a series of ten limited-edition watches that explores how pressure, contact and repetition can leave a lasting trace. Developed across the Modello Uno, Modello Tre and Modello Quattro families, the collection brings a shared visual language to four distinct watchmaking formats.

The defining idea behind Impronte — Italian for “imprints” — is expressed through a combination of raised, recessed and textured surfaces. Raised bezel numerals, debossed dial details and a distinctive wrinkled caseback give the watches a tactile character while preserving UNIMATIC’s restrained, utilitarian aesthetic.

A Collection Built Around Texture

The ten references are divided between two executions. The AEB versions use matte black surfaces throughout, creating a darker and more understated appearance where the relief details emerge and disappear depending on the light. The AEG versions introduce sandblasted aluminium-coloured surfaces, giving the same architecture a brighter and more technical character.

Both versions are paired with seatbelt NATO straps. The AEB watches come with a black strap and an additional olive-drab option, while the AEG models reverse the configuration. Brushed stainless-steel hardware signed by UNIMATIC completes the utilitarian approach.

Modello Uno and GMT

The Impronte collection includes four Modello Uno references, alongside two GMT variants. The 40mm brushed 316L stainless-steel case measures 41.5mm including the bezel and 49mm from lug to lug, with 300 metres of water resistance.

The standard Modello Uno retains a traditional diving bezel, while the GMT versions introduce a raised 24-hour scale and a dedicated hollow-arrow GMT hand. All four use a 2.5mm double-domed sapphire crystal and UNIMATIC’s signature 8mm Alchemical Sun screw-down crown.

The automatic NH35A powers the standard models, while the GMT versions use the NH34A. Both movements offer hacking seconds, manual winding and more than 41 hours of power reserve.

Modello Tre Brings the Chronograph

The Impronte design language also finds its way onto the Modello Tre chronograph. Its 40mm brushed stainless-steel case measures 41.5mm with the bezel and 51.2mm lug-to-lug, with two oversized screw-down pushers reinforcing its instrument-like character.

Both Modello Tre references feature a contrasting matte white subdial, a 120-click diving bezel and 300 metres of water resistance. Inside, the VK64 meca-quartz calibre combines quartz accuracy with a mechanical-style chronograph display and approximately three years of battery life.

A More Minimal Modello Quattro

The Modello Quattro references take the same concept in a more reduced military-watch direction. The 40mm case has a 49mm lug-to-lug profile and features a fixed monoblock bezel, drilled lugs and a 2.8mm flat sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating.

The two GMT versions add a 24-hour scale directly onto the sapphire crystal using Super-LumiNova C1, providing a second-time-zone indication without disturbing the clean dial layout. The standard models are powered by the NH35A, while the GMT references use the NH34A.

The Imprint Continues on the Caseback

Perhaps the most distinctive detail of the collection is found on the reverse. Every Impronte reference features a screw-down caseback with a wrinkled surface treatment inspired by crumpled aluminium foil. Its irregular texture contrasts with the carefully controlled geometry of the case and dial, creating a tactile interpretation of the collection’s central theme.

On the dial, an open seconds rail and recessed trims create depth without relying on conventional printed decoration. UNIMATIC’s ladder-style hour and minute hands are paired with reverse-lollipop seconds hands, while Super-LumiNova C1 ensures legibility in low-light conditions.

Ten References, One Identity

Every Impronte watch is produced in Italy, individually tested for accuracy and water resistance, and limited to 250 numbered pieces per reference. Each example is delivered in a UNIMATIC tough case with a warranty card carrying a unique identification seal.

The collection launches on August 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM CEST through UNIMATIC’s website and selected retailers, with prices starting at €550 excluding VAT.

Rather than treating texture as a purely decorative element, UNIMATIC uses it to give the Impronte Collection a physical identity. Across dive watches, GMTs and chronographs, the same idea takes different forms while remaining unmistakably UNIMATIC.
