Konstantin Chaykin “Wolf” Goes On The Hunt
The second character in the “East” collection brings a new interpretation of the signature Joker-indication, inspired by the wolf’s role as ancestor, protector and guide in East Asian traditions.
Konstantin Chaykin “Wolf”, the second character in the “East” collection and the latest addition to the extensive Wristmons family. Combining an expressive animal-inspired design with a redesigned moonphase concept, the new model continues the collection’s exploration of distinctive characters and cultural symbolism.
The idea behind the “East” collection dates back to 2018, when Konstantin Chaykin began sketching animals and birds inspired by the cultures of the East. Seven years later, the concept became a separate collection, with several characters sharing a common cultural context while each receiving its own interpretation of the signature Joker-indication.
The first character, “Panda Titanium”, was unveiled at Geneva Watch Days in 2025. “Wolf” is the second, while the series is scheduled to conclude with “Tiger” in 2029.

Ancestor, Protector And Guide
In East Asian traditions, the wolf is associated with ancestry, martial strength and the role of a guide. Konstantin Chaykin translates these ideas into a character that appears strong, alert and ready to hunt.
Despite the new personality, “Wolf” remains unmistakably part of the Wristmons family. Its time indications once again become part of the changing facial expression, with large round eyes and vivid irises dominating the face of the watch.
The rich colour palette is achieved through high-precision pad printing. The image is built up through several successive layers, with each layer requiring precise alignment.
The upper lugs also become part of the character. On “Wolf”, they are elongated and pointed to evoke raised wolf ears.

Fur Shaped By Texture
The visual character of the wolf is created through a combination of finishing techniques.
Wavy guilloché relief across the forehead and lower portion of the dial suggests the direction of thick fur, while a dark geometric relief along the bridge of the nose emphasises the elongated shape of the head. Raised, sandblasted brow ridges add further volume.
Different surface treatments help define the facial features. Matte areas contrast with the smooth convex nose and polished applied elements, while black, grey and silver tones are complemented by white fangs and a dark red mouth.
Unlike “Panda”, the bezel does not feature letter inserts or recesses. Instead, its fine radial brushing gives the watch a lighter visual appearance.

The Moon In The Wolf’s Jaws
The most distinctive technical feature of “Wolf” is Konstantin Chaykin’s own interpretation of the moonphase indication: a full-moon period indicator.
Instead of displaying the complete lunar cycle, the system shows only the period surrounding the full moon, lasting approximately two to three days.
The indication is integrated into the wolf’s permanently open mouth. A red disk appears as the tongue, while the white fangs reinforce the predatory expression.
In traditional Wristmons, the moonphase indication is driven by a 59-tooth wheel, with two Moon images passing through the mouth aperture to represent the changing lunar phases.
For “Wolf”, however, the principle has been changed. The disk begins to appear in the mouth on the day before the full moon, remains visible during the full moon and for another day afterwards, before jumping discreetly back to its initial position and disappearing.
To achieve this, the signature Joker-indication module was redesigned.
The K.18-28 Calibre
The watch is powered by the automatic K.18-28 calibre, based on the Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G200 and modified for the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture.
The Joker-indication module is produced by the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture and consists of 111 parts.
The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 68-hour power reserve, with a stated accuracy of -10/+10 seconds per day.
The full-moon indicator is adjusted through the crown.

A Wolf With Its Own Personality
With “Wolf”, Konstantin Chaykin continues to develop the Wristmons concept beyond conventional timekeeping. The watch uses the familiar Joker architecture as a foundation, but transforms the display into an expressive character whose eyes, mouth and facial details work together as part of the indication.
The second “East” character therefore feels less like a conventional themed edition and more like a new personality within the Wristmons universe — one defined by the symbolism, texture and predatory expression of the wolf.
Unlike “Tiger”, which is scheduled for 2029 and will be produced as a limited edition with a Manufacture calibre, the “Wolf” Wristmon is produced in an unlimited edition.
