Introducing The New G-SHOCK 2500 Series With An Analog-First Design
The New GAC-2500 And GMC-2500 Models Reinterpret G-SHOCK’s Functional Design With Analog Displays, Shock Resistance And A Range Of Colour And Material Options.
G-SHOCK is expanding its 2500 series with a new collection of watches that places an emphasis on analogue timekeeping and functional design. Inspired by the original DW-5000C, the first G-SHOCK, the new models revisit the brand’s familiar approach to durability through a contemporary design centred on legibility and simplicity.
The range includes the GAC-2500, available in black, white, yellow and dark green, alongside the GMC-2500 family, which introduces stainless steel into the case construction and, on selected references, the bracelet. According to Casio’s Portuguese website, the new models are scheduled to arrive in November 2026.

An Analogue Display With A Distinctive Layout
The GAC-2500 features an analogue display designed to make reading the time straightforward. Its layout combines two central hands with a small-seconds subdial and a three-cell date display. The seconds hand incorporates the “Shock Resist” marking, referencing G-SHOCK’s origins.
The date window is colour-matched to the dial to reduce visual contrast, while the raised bar-shaped hour markers and parallel-line hands create a cohesive appearance. Neobrite luminous treatment and an amber LED light provide additional visibility in low-light conditions.

One of the model’s technical features is its magnetic hand-retention structure. Rather than being fixed directly to the axis, the vulnerable hand components are held in place magnetically, allowing the minute hand to absorb and dissipate impacts. Casio notes that the minute hand may temporarily move following an impact or vibration before returning to its correct position within a few minutes.
The watch also includes a seconds-hand sleep function, which stops the small-seconds hand to reduce energy consumption and help extend battery life.
GAC-2500: Four Colour Options
The GAC-2500 features a resin case and bezel, a bio-based resin strap and a compact profile measuring 46.7mm in length, 44.5mm in width and 12.7mm in thickness. It weighs 47 grams and offers water resistance to 200 metres, in addition to G-SHOCK’s shock-resistant construction.
The range includes four colour variations: black, white, yellow and dark green. All are listed at €129 on Casio’s Portuguese website, with the yellow version marked as exclusive to CASIO ID members.

GMC-2500: Stainless Steel Details
The GMC-2500 builds on the same design direction, combining bio-based resin with stainless steel in the case and bezel. The standard version measures 46.7 × 43.8 × 12.9mm and weighs 68 grams, while versions fitted with a stainless steel bracelet weigh 138 grams.

The range includes resin-strap models priced at €249, a gold-coloured model at €269 and stainless steel bracelet versions at €319, according to the supplied Portuguese listings. The models retain shock resistance, 200-metre water resistance, a mineral crystal, Neobrite and an amber LED light.
