Chronoswiss Pulse GMT Frosted Guilloche Gold: Craft, Frosted By Force
A 41mm 18ct gold travel-time watch with a frosted hand-guilloché dial and integrated rubber strap.
Chronoswiss Pulse GMT Frosted Guilloche Gold is a bold new expression of modern travel time, created in the Atelier Lucerne. It brings 18ct gold into the sculptural, architectural world of the Pulse family and pairs it with a new integrated rubber strap, pushing the brand’s mechanical language into a sharper, more contemporary direction.
The Pulse design marks one of the most progressive chapters in Chronoswiss history. Sculptural, sporty and unmistakably modern, it reinterprets the brand’s classic codes with more attitude: the iconic onion crown, the coin-edge bezel, and a powerful case construction built for movement. In the GMT Frosted Guilloche Gold, that vocabulary becomes even more provocative.

A Frosted Guilloché Dial
At the centre of this creation lies a dial that combines traditional guilloché with an experimental surface treatment. The base is hand-guilloché brass, cut on a traditional engine to create rhythmic, geometric patterns.
For the first time, Chronoswiss refines this surface through a special sandblasting process, using ultra-fine synthetic corundum particles directed with absolute precision. The result is a shimmering, frosted finish that turns the guilloché pattern into a crystalline landscape of light, texture and depth.
Guilloché has always been one of Chronoswiss’s defining crafts. Traditionally, its beauty relies on rhythm, geometry and reflected light. Here, the structure remains, but its character changes: softer in glow, sharper in presence, and distinctly contemporary in expression.
This frosted centre sets the stage for the two rotating GMT discs and the layered dial construction around them.

Gold Case, Modern Proportions
The Pulse GMT Frosted Guilloche Gold is housed in a solid 5N gold case made of 26 parts, weighing 48 grams of precious metal. Satin, sandblasted and polished surfaces play against each other, emphasizing the case’s architectural lines.

A partially knurled bezel, onion crown and screwed strap holders anchor the watch visually in the Chronoswiss universe, while reinforcing the sense of solidity.
The case measures 41 mm in diameter, 13 mm in height, and 46.27 mm lug to lug, with a lug width of 23 mm. A curved sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating ensures clarity across the dial’s three-dimensional elements.
Water resistance is rated at 5 bar (50 metres), giving the watch enough security for everyday wear while remaining focused on the travel and urban context.

Gold In Motion: Calibre C.6002 And GMT Display
Inside the case beats the Chronoswiss Manufacture Caliber C.6002, developed together with La Joux-Perret. It is an automatic movement with a dedicated two-time-zone module and a power reserve of 55 hours.
The layout is designed around global rhythm rather than decorative symmetry. Central minutes and seconds connect all indications, while the hours are split between two counters.
At 9 o’clock, a 24-hour disc displays the second time zone (GMT), giving a clear distinction between day and night abroad. At 3 o’clock, a 12-hour disc keeps local time in view. Together, they allow the wearer to track home and away time zones in a way that feels intuitive and mechanical.

Rotor, Finishing And Movement Character
The C.6002 movement has a diameter of 33.4 mm and runs at 4 Hz (28,800 A/h), with Glucydur three-legged balance and Nivarox 1 balance spring. Fine adjustment is handled via an excenter cam, and shock protection is provided by Incabloc.
A skeletonised tungsten rotor, mounted on ball bearings, underscores the contemporary mechanical character, while Geneva-cut decoration on the bridge and ruthenium plating add depth to the view through the sapphire caseback.
Polished armature, escape wheel and screws highlight the attention to detail. The mix of ruthenium, skeletonisation and frosted guilloché ties movement and dial together into one modern mechanical language.
Dial Construction And Details
The dial is a three-dimensional brass construction. At the centre lies the hand-guilloché area with frosted sandblasting and nickel galvanic coating. Around it, several rings and appliques create layers of texture and information.
Hour indicators are domed brass elements, sandblasted with nickel galvanic coating and black print. A raw sandblasted dividing ring carries the Chronoswiss logo in black, while a polished dividing line adds a sharp contour.
The minute ring is fine sandblasted brass with a printed minute scale in black. Polished blue PVD-coated appliques and blued steel screws punctuate the scene, bringing colour accents that contrast with the gold case and the frosted dial.
The hands are steel, polished and blued, in a distinctive “Pyramid” shape, giving them a strong, modern profile against the textured background.

Strap And Wearing Experience
The watch is paired with a new integrated black rubber strap, currently exclusive to this model. It reinforces the sporty, technical attitude of the Pulse line and contrasts deliberately with the warmth and weight of the gold case.
The strap is closed with a Chronoclasp buckle in stainless steel coated in black DLC, combined with 5N gold (2.5 g). This combination keeps the watch secure on the wrist and visually consistent with the rest of the design.
Limited to 50 pieces, the Pulse GMT Frosted Guilloche Gold feels like a mechanical travel companion for a world that never stands still. Bold, sporty and unmistakably Chronoswiss, it shows how a brand rooted in traditional craft can make mechanics feel new again.
