UNIMATIC Modello Uno UT1-PD: A 300m Toolwatch Built For Impact

UNIMATIC introduces a rugged new Modello Uno engineered for professional underwater performance, impact resistance and uncompromising functionality.

UNIMATIC Modello Uno UT1-PD is the latest addition to the brand’s Toolwatch collection, bringing together professional underwater performance, impact resistance and UNIMATIC’s distinctive minimalist design.

Developed around the familiar Modello Uno architecture, the UNIMATIC Modello Uno UT1-PD is built to withstand demanding conditions, offering 300 metres of water resistance, MIL-STD-810H testing and a highly legible black-and-orange aesthetic in a compact 40mm case.

The new model launches on August 7, 2026, in a limited edition of just 250 individually numbered pieces.

Built For Pressure And Impact

The UT1-PD takes the functional approach of the Toolwatch line and pushes it towards professional underwater use. The watch is rated to 300 metres of water resistance, equivalent to approximately 1,000 feet or 30 atmospheres, and each example is individually tested for accuracy and water resistance.

UNIMATIC also states that the watch has been tested according to MIL-STD-810H, reinforcing its ability to withstand demanding environmental conditions and mechanical stress.

The design remains focused on readability and durability. The case is made from sandblasted 316L stainless steel, giving the watch a muted, utilitarian appearance that fits naturally within the Toolwatch family.

A Compact 40mm Dive Watch

The case measures 40mm in diameter, expanding to 41.5mm when measured across the bezel. With a 49mm lug-to-lug measurement, the proportions remain relatively compact for a professional dive watch.

Thickness is rated at 13.3mm without the crystal and 13.6mm overall, while the complete watch weighs 99 grams with its supplied TPU strap.

The 22mm strap width also gives the UT1-PD a substantial presence on the wrist while maintaining the familiar proportions of the Modello Uno case.

Functional Black-And-Orange Dial

The dial follows the same restrained philosophy as the case. A matte black surface provides the foundation, with printed Arabic numerals, a white open seconds rail and international orange details creating strong contrast.

International orange is used selectively throughout the design. The colour appears on the dial trims and on the tip of the reverse lollipop seconds hand, creating an immediate visual reference point without overwhelming the otherwise monochromatic composition.

The hour and minute hands use UNIMATIC’s characteristic ladder phantom design, finished in matte black. Super-LumiNova® C1 is applied to the hands to improve visibility in low-light conditions.

The result is a dial that prioritizes legibility while maintaining the understated aesthetic for which UNIMATIC has become known.

A 120-Click Unidirectional Bezel

Surrounding the dial is a 120-click unidirectional safety bezel, an essential component of the watch’s dive-oriented design.

The bezel features a matte black countdown insert with an international orange triangle, giving the otherwise monochromatic watch a distinctive point of contrast and making the zero marker immediately identifiable.

Together with the 300-metre water resistance, screw-down crown and sapphire crystal, the bezel reinforces the UT1-PD’s purpose as a serious underwater tool rather than simply a watch with dive-inspired styling.

Sapphire Crystal And Screw-Down Crown

Protecting the dial is a 3mm flat sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating. Sapphire provides the scratch resistance expected from a modern toolwatch, while the anti-reflective treatment helps maintain dial visibility.

The watch is fitted with UNIMATIC’s signature 8mm Alchemical Sun screw-down crown, combined with a high-performance sealing construction to support its 300-metre water-resistance rating.

The screw-down caseback carries a Prodiver dive-mask motif, further emphasizing the UT1-PD’s connection to professional underwater equipment and marine use.

Seiko VH31A Quartz Movement

Inside the UNIMATIC Modello Uno UT1-PD is the Seiko VH31A quartz movement.

Unlike a conventional quartz movement with a more traditional ticking seconds hand, the VH31A features a sweeping seconds hand, giving the UT1-PD a more mechanical-looking visual character while retaining the accuracy and practicality of quartz.

UNIMATIC quotes an accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and an approximate battery life of two years.

The movement is housed within UNIMATIC’s 360° protection system, designed to increase resistance to impacts and environmental stress while keeping the overall construction compact.

A Rugged TPU Strap

The watch is supplied on a black two-piece TPU strap, secured with brushed stainless-steel hardware signed by UNIMATIC.

The complete watch weighs 99 grams with the strap, providing a balance between the substantial construction expected from a professional toolwatch and the relatively compact dimensions of the Modello Uno case.

Limited To 250 Pieces

The UNIMATIC Modello Uno UT1-PD is limited to 250 individually numbered pieces.
