The independent watchmaker celebrates the opening of its first flagship boutique at the Mandarin Oriental, Doha, with two limited Angles editions created exclusively for Beda’a boutiques.

Beda’a Angles Boutique Editions mark the opening of Beda’a’s first flagship boutique at the Mandarin Oriental, Doha, introducing two exclusive interpretations of the Angles collection.

To celebrate the occasion, Beda’a is introducing two limited editions of its Angles collection: the Angles 37 Boutique Edition and the Angles Mecaline Boutique Edition. Both feature a new vertically brushed silver dial with black Breguet-style numerals, gold-toned hands and a deep blue strap, creating a visual identity inspired directly by the interior of the new Doha boutique.

The two editions will be available from 26 August 2026 exclusively through Beda’a boutiques, initially at the new flagship in Doha and subsequently at the brand’s planned London boutique, which is scheduled to open later in 2026.

A New Home for Beda’a in Doha

The opening of the Mandarin Oriental, Doha boutique represents a significant step in Beda’a’s development. For the first time, the independent watchmaker has a permanent physical space dedicated entirely to its collections, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the watches in an environment designed around the brand.

The location also carries particular significance for Beda’a, as Doha is the city from which the brand’s story began. The new flagship therefore represents more than a retail location: it establishes a physical home for the watchmaker in the city at the heart of its origins.

At the same time, the boutique reflects Beda’a’s increasingly international ambitions. Following the opening in Doha, the brand plans to establish a second boutique in London later this year, extending its physical presence beyond Qatar.

To mark this new chapter, Beda’a has returned to the Angles collection, one of the defining pillars of its watchmaking, creating two interpretations that share the same exclusive dial design.

A New Dial for the Angles Collection

The two Boutique Editions introduce a new visual identity to the distinctive architecture of the Angles collection. Both feature a vertically brushed silver dial that provides a restrained background for black Breguet-style numerals, while gold-toned hands add a warmer contrast. A deep blue strap completes the design.

The combination of silver, black and gold was chosen deliberately. The same palette can be found throughout the interior of Beda’a’s new Doha boutique, where silver surfaces are contrasted with black architectural elements. The watches therefore establish a subtle connection between the objects themselves and the physical space created to showcase them.

Although the Angles 37 and Angles Mecaline share this visual language, their personalities remain distinct. The Angles 37 focuses on simplicity and an exceptionally slim profile, while the Mecaline introduces a mechanical movement and small-seconds display, creating a more animated interpretation of the same design.

The Beda’a Angles 37 Boutique Edition

The Angles 37 Boutique Edition represents the more minimalist interpretation of the two new releases. Powered by a quartz movement and displaying only the hours and minutes, its two-hand layout allows the vertically brushed silver dial and Breguet-style numerals to take centre stage.

The watch retains the established architecture of the Angles 37 collection, including its distinctive eight-faceted case, stepped construction and integrated lugs. Measuring 37 mm in diameter, the case maintains the proportions that have defined the model since its introduction.

At just 5.3 mm thick, the slender profile is one of the watch’s defining characteristics. The thin case allows the Angles 37 to sit discreetly on the wrist while maintaining the geometric character that distinguishes the collection.

Inside, Beda’a uses the Swiss Ronda 1062.1 Slimtech quartz movement. Its compact architecture allows the brand to preserve the remarkably thin proportions of the watch while providing the practicality and simplicity associated with quartz timekeeping.

The Angles 37 Boutique Edition is priced at QAR 3,100, approximately CHF 700, and is available exclusively through Beda’a boutiques.

The Beda’a Angles Mecaline Boutique Edition

The Angles Mecaline Boutique Edition takes the same design language into mechanical territory. Its vertically brushed silver dial and black Breguet-style numerals are joined by a small-seconds display positioned at 6 o’clock, giving the otherwise restrained dial an additional point of visual movement.

At the centre of the watch is the hand-wound Peseux/ETA 7001, a movement known for its slim architecture. Its compact proportions allow Beda’a to maintain the slender character of the Angles collection even with a mechanical movement inside.

The Mecaline measures just 6 mm thick, making its profile only slightly thicker than that of the quartz-powered Angles 37. The result is a mechanical watch that preserves the discreet proportions and geometric character associated with the collection.

The manual-winding mechanism also changes the relationship between the wearer and the watch. Unlike the simplicity of the Angles 37, the Mecaline requires regular interaction with its movement, while the small seconds at 6 o’clock provides a constant indication of the mechanical life taking place beneath the dial.

The Angles Mecaline Boutique Edition is priced at QAR 5,800, approximately CHF 1,300, and is also available exclusively through Beda’a boutiques.

Two Interpretations of the Same Design

Although the two Boutique Editions use different movements and offer distinct functions, Beda’a has deliberately kept their visual identity closely connected. The vertically brushed silver dial, black Breguet-style numerals, gold-toned hands and deep blue strap create a common design language that ties the two watches together.

The distinction becomes clearer when they are viewed side by side. The Angles 37 is the purer expression of the collection’s geometry, with its two-hand display and 5.3 mm case prioritising simplicity and wearability. The Mecaline, meanwhile, introduces the more traditional experience of a manually wound mechanical watch, adding the small seconds and the interaction of daily winding.

This approach allows Beda’a to celebrate the opening of its first flagship boutique without creating two entirely new designs. Instead, the brand has taken two established members of the Angles collection and given them a shared identity created specifically for its boutique network.

Exclusive Editions for Beda’a Boutiques

The Angles 37 Boutique Edition and Angles Mecaline Boutique Edition will be available from 26 August 2026. Their distribution is intentionally limited to Beda’a’s own boutiques, beginning with the new flagship at the Mandarin Oriental, Doha.

The watches will subsequently become available at Beda’a’s London boutique when it opens later in 2026, giving the two editions a direct connection to the two physical locations that will represent the brand internationally.

For Beda’a, the new watches therefore serve a purpose beyond introducing new dial variations. They mark the transition towards a new stage of the brand’s development, with permanent spaces in Doha and London providing dedicated environments for its collections.

The choice of the Angles collection is equally appropriate. Its geometric architecture, restrained proportions and distinctive case construction provide a strong foundation for the new boutique-inspired design, while the two movements allow Beda’a to present two different approaches to the same aesthetic.
