BALL Engineer III Snoopy Flying Ace: A New Adventure Takes Flight
The legendary Flying Ace returns to the skies as BALL Watch Company introduces a new limited-edition collection celebrating Snoopy, aviation-inspired design and the spirit of adventure.
The BALL Engineer III Snoopy Flying Ace brings Charles M. Schulz’s iconic PEANUTS character back to the skies in a new limited-edition collection. Available in stainless steel and bronze, the series combines Snoopy’s Flying Ace adventure with BALL Watch Company’s technical features, including micro gas tube illumination and robust everyday performance.
The new series is available in three stainless steel case sizes — 36mm, 40mm and 43mm — alongside a separate 43mm bronze edition. Each execution is limited to 250 pieces, giving the collection a special appeal for collectors while retaining the practical features expected from BALL’s Engineer III range.

Snoopy Takes To The Skies
At the centre of the design is Snoopy in his familiar Flying Ace persona, accompanied by Woodstock as his loyal wingman. The character appears on the three-dimensional sub-dial at 6 o’clock, depicted in full aviator attire and piloting his iconic doghouse aircraft inspired by the Sopwith Camel. Woodstock, meanwhile, takes his place at the tip of the seconds hand, adding another playful detail to the dial.

The collection is available with black or blue dials, depending on the chosen version. The stainless steel models feature 904L stainless steel cases and can be paired with a matching bracelet with a folding buckle or a calf leather strap with a standard buckle. The bronze version takes a different approach, combining its 43mm case with a calf leather strap.

Each model is equipped with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a screwed-in crown and a transparent caseback. On the bronze version, the caseback is made of titanium and also incorporates a transparent sapphire crystal.

Automatic Movement And Everyday Reliability
Inside the Engineer III Snoopy Flying Ace series is the automatic BALL RR1105 calibre, which delivers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement drives the hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds and date displays, with the stainless steel versions featuring a magnified date.
BALL has also equipped the collection with several technical features designed to ensure reliability in demanding conditions. These include shock resistance rated to 5,000Gs, anti-magnetic protection up to 4,800A/m and water resistance to 100 metres.
The stainless steel models also incorporate the patented Amortiser® anti-shock system, providing an additional layer of protection for the movement.

Designed To Shine After Dark
As expected from BALL, night-time legibility plays an important role in this collection. The Engineer III Snoopy Flying Ace models use micro gas tubes on the dial and hands, providing strong and distinctive illumination in low-light conditions.
The 36mm version features 13 micro gas tubes, while the 40mm and 43mm stainless steel models use 14. The bronze version also incorporates 14 tubes. The hour markers feature baton-shaped tubes that extend slightly above the dial surface, creating a three-dimensional effect while improving visibility.
Snoopy also receives his own luminous treatment. The character on the subsidiary dial is highlighted in white Super-LumiNova, ensuring that the Flying Ace remains visible even after dark.

BALL And PEANUTS: A Collaboration Built On Imagination
The partnership between BALL Watch Company and PEANUTS brings together two stories shaped by perseverance, creativity and optimism.
Created by Charles M. Schulz in 1950, PEANUTS grew from a comic strip published in seven American newspapers into a worldwide cultural phenomenon. Its characters, particularly Snoopy, have become enduring symbols of humour, imagination and adventure.

BALL Watch Company also has a distinctive history. Founded in Cleveland in 1891, the brand emerged following a railway accident in Kipton, Ohio, which led American railroad companies to appoint Webster Clay Ball as Chief Time Inspector. His work helped establish standardised timekeeping procedures across the railway network, contributing to the development of more reliable timekeeping standards.
The connection between the two brands is reflected in Snoopy’s transformation of his doghouse into a fighter plane — a reminder of how imagination can turn something ordinary into something extraordinary. In a similar spirit, BALL continues to develop professional tool watches designed to deliver reliability in demanding environments.
With the Engineer III Snoopy Flying Ace, this shared spirit of adventure takes on a more playful form, bringing together BALL’s technical identity and one of the most recognisable characters in the PEANUTS universe.
