Audemars Piguet Unveils Three Supersonnerie Watches And Two Stone-Dial Code 11.59 Models
From the acoustic engineering of the Minute Repeater Supersonnerie to the natural beauty of obsidian and onyx, Audemars Piguet introduces five new references across the Royal Oak and Code 11.59 collections.
Audemars Piguet introduces five new watches across the Royal Oak and Code 11.59 collections, including three Minute Repeater Supersonnerie models and two Code 11.59 Selfwinding references featuring natural stone dials in gold obsidian and black onyx.
The releases cover very different territory. The Supersonnerie models focus on one of traditional watchmaking’s most demanding complications, requiring considerable attention to the way sound is produced and transmitted from a relatively small wristwatch. The stone-dial Code 11.59 models take a more restrained approach, using the natural characteristics of two different stones to create distinctive surfaces within the collection’s familiar round case.
Three New Minute Repeater Supersonnerie Watches
Audemars Piguet first introduced its Supersonnerie technology in 2016 with the Royal Oak Concept RD#1. The project followed eight years of development and brought together watchmakers, musicians and researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). Its objective was to improve the acoustic performance of a wristwatch minute repeater, a complication in which producing a clear and balanced chime is particularly challenging because of the limited space available inside the case.
The patented Supersonnerie construction uses gongs mounted on a dedicated soundboard, combined with a specially developed case architecture and an innovative regulator. Together, these elements are designed to enhance the sound produced by the striking mechanism.
All three new watches are powered by the manually wound calibre 2953. Measuring 30mm in diameter and 6mm in thickness, the movement consists of 362 components and 32 jewels. It operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3Hz, and provides a minimum guaranteed power reserve of 72 hours. Alongside the minute repeater, it displays hours, minutes and small seconds.

Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie In Titanium And Pink Gold
Two of the new references belong to the 42mm Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie collection. The first, reference 26591TI.OO.1252TI.08, features a titanium case and integrated bracelet, paired with a green dial. Its satin-finished sunburst motif is complemented by a smoked effect that gradually darkens towards the edges. A matching green small-seconds counter maintains the dial’s colour scheme, while the white gold hands and hour markers introduce contrast. The central hands and indexes are filled with luminescent material.

The second Royal Oak, reference 26591OR.OO.1252OR.01, introduces a new material execution for this particular Supersonnerie model: 18-carat pink gold. It is paired with a brown Grande Tapisserie dial and matching small-seconds counter. Pink gold hands and hour markers complement the case, while the integrated bracelet completes the warmer overall appearance.

Both watches measure 14mm thick and feature the Royal Oak’s familiar combination of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Their angular case architecture is further emphasised by the contrast between these finishes. Water resistance is rated to 20 metres, and both models are available with prices on request.

Code 11.59 Minute Repeater Supersonnerie
The third chiming watch brings the Supersonnerie construction to the Code 11.59 collection. Reference 26395BC.OO.D009CR.01 is presented in an 18-carat white gold case, with a fully polished middle and a smoked sapphire dial that reveals the manually wound calibre 2953 beneath.

Rather than using a conventional solid dial, the sapphire construction places the movement on display, allowing the wearer to appreciate its finishing and mechanical architecture. The minute track and the rim surrounding the small-seconds counter feature galvanic growth, adding texture and depth to the composition. White gold baton hands and hour markers complete the display.
The watch is paired with a grey alligator leather strap and an 18-carat white gold folding clasp. Its case measures 13.6mm thick, while water resistance is rated to 20 metres. The published diameter differs between the two sources consulted, which list either 41mm or 42mm for this reference. Its price is available on request.

Natural Stone Dials For The Code 11.59 Selfwinding
Alongside the technically complex minute repeaters, Audemars Piguet introduces two more understated Code 11.59 Selfwinding models. Both feature 38mm cases in 18-carat gold and natural stone dials, with gold obsidian and black onyx offering two very different interpretations.

The yellow gold reference, 77410BA.OO.A604CR.01, features a natural gold obsidian dial with a sunburst finish. The stone contains mineral inclusions that create reflective details within its dark surface. The finishing is intended to bring out these natural variations, allowing the dial to change subtly depending on the light. Yellow gold hands filled with luminescent material and matching hour markers complement the case, while a brown inner bezel and black alligator strap introduce further contrast.

The second model, reference 77410OR.OO.A001CR.01, combines an 18-carat pink gold case with a mirror-polished black onyx dial. Its deep, uniform appearance provides the backdrop for baguette-cut diamond hour markers, with a total weight of 0.37 carats. Pink gold hands filled with luminescent material maintain the connection with the case, while a black inner bezel and glossy black alligator strap reinforce the monochromatic aesthetic.

Both models measure 38mm in diameter and 9.6mm thick. They feature double-curved sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment on both the front and back, and offer water resistance to 30 metres.
Inside, the watches are powered by the automatic calibre 5909. Measuring 26.2mm in diameter and 3.9mm thick, it comprises 174 components and 29 jewels. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4Hz, the movement provides a minimum guaranteed power reserve of 60 hours and displays hours, minutes and central seconds.
The yellow gold obsidian version is priced at CHF 45,500, while the pink gold onyx model costs CHF 54,100.

Five Watches, Two Different Approaches
These five new references demonstrate the breadth of Audemars Piguet’s current approach to watchmaking. The three Supersonnerie models place the emphasis on acoustic engineering, with the Royal Oak offering two contrasting material and dial combinations and the Code 11.59 revealing the movement beneath a smoked sapphire dial.
The two stone-dial models take a different direction, relying on the natural character of obsidian and onyx to create visual distinction within a more traditional time-only format. Together, the releases show how Audemars Piguet continues to explore both mechanical complexity and decorative craftsmanship across its collections.
