Introducing the new Rado DiaStar Original Skeleton Limited Edition, a vibrant trilogy of summer-inspired timepieces that reimagines one of the brand’s most distinctive designs through bold colours, skeletonised mechanics, and contemporary materials.

Available in blue, green, and red executions, each model combines Rado’s signature Ceramos™ bezel with a colourful annular dial, matching rubber strap, and the automatic R808 skeleton movement. Limited to just 555 pieces per reference, the collection celebrates the arrival of summer with a playful yet sophisticated interpretation of the DiaStar Original Skeleton.

A Trilogy Of Summer Colours

The DiaStar Original has always stood apart thanks to its unconventional shape and futuristic design language. For this new limited edition series, Rado introduces three distinctive colour combinations that frame the skeletonised movement with bold seasonal tones.

The blue version pairs a polished Ceramos™ bezel with a blue annular dial, silver minute track, and rhodium-coloured hands and floating indices enhanced by yellow Super-LumiNova®. A matching blue rubber strap completes the monochromatic look.

The green edition offers a more luxurious appearance through a yellow gold-coloured PVD-coated Ceramos™ bezel. The green dial is complemented by gold-coloured hands and indices filled with red Super-LumiNova®, creating a striking contrast.

Completing the trio is the red model, which combines a red annular dial with rhodium-coloured hands and indices highlighted by green Super-LumiNova®. A matching red rubber strap reinforces its energetic summer character.

The Art Of Skeletonisation

At the centre of each model is the skeletonised Rado calibre R808, allowing wearers to admire the intricate mechanics through both the dial and sapphire crystal caseback.

The open-worked architecture creates a strong visual connection between the wearer and the movement, showcasing the technical artistry behind the watch while maintaining excellent legibility.

Visible through the sapphire crystal, the movement features horizontal brushed decoration and refined finishing that complement the modern aesthetic of the collection.

Powered By The Rado Calibre R808

The automatic R808 movement offers impressive technical specifications, including an anti-magnetic Nivachron™ hairspring and an extended power reserve of up to 80 hours.

Rado also states that the movement exceeds standard testing requirements by being adjusted across five positions rather than the traditional three, helping to improve overall accuracy.

The combination of long autonomy, enhanced resistance to magnetic fields, and reliable performance makes the calibre particularly suitable for everyday wear.

Limited To 555 Pieces Each

All three models feature a stainless steel case measuring 38 mm wide, 45 mm long, and 11.9 mm thick. A faceted sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the caseback carries a special engraving reading: “LIMITED EDITION, ONE OUT OF 555”

Each watch is delivered on a matching rubber strap equipped with Rado’s EasyClip system for quick strap changes and arrives in special presentation packaging accompanied by a Limited Edition Certificate.
