Konstantin Chaykin Atomic Heart Brings The Twins To Mechanical Life
The iconic ballerina Twins from Atomic Heart become the inspiration for two limited-edition mechanical watches created under an official license from Mundfish.
In the retrofuturistic world of Atomic Heart, the Twins are among the most recognisable characters. Their metallic bodies, theatrical movements, golden braids and red stars have become an instantly identifiable part of the game’s visual identity. Now, Konstantin Chaykin brings the Left and Right Twins into the physical world through two limited-edition mechanical watches created by the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture under an official Atomic Heart licence.
The watches continue an artistic approach that Chaykin previously explored with the Venus model, but take it in a very different direction. Instead of drawing on a classical work of art, the new editions translate the combat ballerina robots of Mundfish’s universe into a multi-layered watch dial.

From Atomic Heart To The Wrist
Atomic Heart is set in an alternative Soviet Union in 1955, where advanced technology and humanoid robots form part of a retrofuturistic society. The story takes place at Facility 3826, under the direction of Professor Dmitry Sechenov, whose personal bodyguards are the two Twins.
Despite their imposing size, the characters move with the grace of professional ballerinas. Their movements were based on those of a Bolshoi Theatre ballerina and transferred into the game using motion-capture technology. That combination of mechanical construction and theatrical movement is central to the Twins’ identity, and it becomes the starting point for the two watches.
The project was created under an official licence allowing the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture to use imagery from Atomic Heart, turning the characters into the central visual element of the watches rather than simply adding a logo or discreet reference.

One Image, Two Personalities
The two editions represent the Left and Right Twins individually. The Left Twin appears as a black silhouette against a rich red background, while the Right Twin is depicted in silver against graphite.
The Right Twin also receives a distinctive golden cropped cardigan, represented through applied guilloché elements. The two dials use different guilloché treatments beneath the figures: the Left Twin’s grain d’orge pattern develops into an arrangement reminiscent of the folds of an open fan, while straight rays extend downwards from behind the Right Twin’s head.

Abrasive-blasted surfaces, lacquered relief and applied elements create several layers of texture across the dials. Two synthetic rubies set in gold-plated brass act as the hour and minute pointers, positioned directly on the Twins’ chests so that they become part of the characters themselves.
Even the Manufacture’s logo is incorporated into the composition, appearing at each Twin’s neck like a small pendant.
The Moon Becomes The Face Of The Watch
Above the Twins sits the most prominent functional element of the design: an oversized moon-phase display. The light and dark portions of the moon-phase disc gradually change as it completes one revolution in approximately 29.5 days, corresponding to the length of a synodic month.
The display is protected by its own sapphire crystal. Above this crystal sits an applied synthetic ruby star accompanied by a golden braid made from gold-plated brass, directly echoing the visual language of the characters.
The hour and minute discs have been moved to the lower portion of the dial. This required a substantial reworking of Konstantin Chaykin’s signature display module, allowing the time indication to coexist with the large moon-phase element and the Twin’s figure.

Titanium And The K.18-25
The 40 mm titanium case is designed to preserve the visual hierarchy of the dial. Its slim, smooth bezel leaves more space for the multi-level composition, while the single crown remains positioned at 3 o’clock.
The case comprises 30 components and combines polished surfaces with directional brushing. Measuring 12.9 mm in height, it is topped by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The sapphire caseback is secured by six screws and provides a view of the movement.
Both versions use the same self-winding K.18-25 calibre. The movement is based on a Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G200, extensively modified exclusively for the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture and combined with an in-house display module comprising 68 components.
The balance operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, while the movement provides a power reserve of 68 hours and contains 30 jewels. The module allows the watch to display the hours and minutes through rotating discs while also driving the moon-phase indication.

From The Game To The Game World
The connection between the physical watch and Atomic Heart goes further than the inspiration behind the dial. Before the watch was introduced in the real world, the model featuring the Twins had already appeared inside the game itself.
The watch can be seen on Professor Lebedev’s wrist in Blood on Crystal, the final story expansion for Atomic Heart, released on 16 April 2026. Its appearance effectively turns the real-world watch into an Easter egg within the game’s universe, linking the Manufacture’s creation back to the fictional world that inspired it.
Two Limited Editions
The Left Twin and Right Twin editions are each limited to 69 pieces, giving the project a total of 138 watches across both versions.
Both share the same 40 mm titanium architecture, K.18-25 automatic calibre and 68-hour power reserve, but their dials create two distinctly different interpretations of the same character concept.
With this collaboration, Konstantin Chaykin extends its signature display architecture into the world of contemporary pop culture. The result is less a conventional character-themed watch than a mechanical interpretation of the Twins themselves, with their silhouettes, colours, textures and visual details integrated directly into the construction of the timepiece.
