CASIO Introduces Three New Automatic Field Watches In The CMK-100 Series
The new collection combines a 38 mm titanium case, a Japanese automatic movement and three strap options inspired by everyday functionality and outdoor use.
CASIO expands its mechanical watch offering with the new CMK-100 series, a collection of automatic field watches designed to bring traditional watchmaking into everyday life. With a compact 38 mm case, a textured dial and large luminous Arabic numerals, the range focuses on legibility, comfort and practical design.
One of the most notable aspects of the CMK-100 series is its place in CASIO’s mechanical watch lineup. Following the introduction of automatic movements within the EDIFICE collection, the CMK-100 brings this approach to a field-watch design outside that range for the first time. It marks a new direction for CASIO’s automatic watches, combining traditional mechanical watchmaking with a lightweight titanium case and a practical, outdoors-inspired design.
The collection comprises three references: the CMK-100TC-1A with a textile strap, the CMK-100TD-1A with a titanium bracelet, and the CMK-100TL-1A with a leather strap. Each shares the same core design and movement, while offering a different look and wearing experience.

A Lightweight Titanium Case
The CMK-100 features a 38 mm titanium case with a thickness of 11.4 mm. Titanium provides a combination of low weight and corrosion resistance, making it well suited to a watch designed for everyday wear and outdoor activities.
The case receives an ion-plated finish and a titanium carbide coating, intended to improve resistance to abrasion. A broad, flat-topped bezel gives the watch a purposeful appearance, while the crown features textured sides for a more secure grip.
Both the crown and caseback use a screw-down construction to help maintain water resistance. The front is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, adding another practical feature to the design.

A Textured Dial Built For Legibility
The dial follows a straightforward three-hand layout with a date display at 3 o’clock. Its subtle texture is created through a special stamping process, adding depth without compromising the watch’s functional character.

Large Arabic numerals are printed in multiple layers of luminous paint, producing a raised, three-dimensional effect. The luminous numerals and hands are designed to improve visibility in low-light conditions, while the simple layout keeps the information easy to read at a glance.

Japanese Automatic Movement
Powering the CMK-100 is a Japan-made automatic movement with magnetic resistance and an approximate power reserve of 42 hours. The mechanical movement supports the collection’s traditional field-watch character while offering the convenience of automatic winding during wear.
The watches have a water-resistance rating of 10 bar, making them suitable for a range of everyday situations. The combination of sapphire crystal, a screw-down caseback and a titanium case reinforces the practical approach behind the collection.

Three Strap Options
CASIO offers the CMK-100 in three configurations, each with a different strap material.
The CMK-100TC-1A comes with a black textile strap made from durable nylon. Its soft, flexible construction reflects the traditional field-watch aesthetic and is designed for comfortable everyday use.
The CMK-100TD-1A features a titanium bracelet that complements the case and creates a more integrated metallic appearance. It is the most expensive option in the range.
The CMK-100TL-1A is fitted with a leather strap made from vegetable-tanned leather sourced from Tuscany, Italy. According to CASIO, the leather develops a distinctive sheen and character over time while becoming more comfortable on the wrist.

Pricing And Availability
The three CASIO CMK-100 references are listed in Portugal at the following prices:
- CMK-100TC-1A: €299 — textile strap
- CMK-100TD-1A: €399 — titanium bracelet
- CMK-100TL-1A: €319 — leather strap
With its compact titanium case, automatic movement and emphasis on dial legibility, the CMK-100 series offers three interpretations of the modern field watch, ranging from the traditional textile strap to a full titanium bracelet or a classic leather option.
