Nubeo Elysium Automatic NASA Limited Edition Brings Apollo 13 Spirit To The Wrist
Inspired by one of the most enduring phrases in spaceflight history, the new ELYSIUM combines NASA imagery with a contemporary automatic design.
NUBEO ELYSIUM Automatic NASA Limited Edition, a three-piece collection built around one of the most recognisable rallying cries associated with spaceflight: “Failure is not an option.” The phrase became immortalised through the Apollo 13 mission and the composure of NASA’s Mission Control, and now becomes the central theme of a contemporary mechanical watch.
The concept is deliberately straightforward. A matte dial carries the NASA wordmark together with the phrase itself, giving the watch an immediately recognisable identity without relying on an overly complex display. Look closer, however, and another detail appears: the message is repeated as a hidden element that becomes visible under UV light.

The same phrase also appears on the movement’s rotor, visible through the exhibition caseback. As the rotor moves with the wearer’s wrist, the message becomes part of the mechanical experience, creating a connection between the visual theme and the automatic movement inside.

A Contemporary ELYSIUM
The ELYSIUM is built around a 45mm barrel-shaped stainless-steel case with a 48mm lug-to-lug measurement. Its surfaces combine brushed and polished finishing, while a fixed steel bezel maintains the clean, contemporary character of the design.

A single-curve mineral lens with anti-reflective coating protects the dial. The crown is designed for pull-out operation and carries a debossed NUBEO “N”, while the screwed exhibition caseback provides a view of the automatic movement and is marked “Limited Edition 001/150”.
At 13.5mm thick, the watch has a substantial presence on the wrist, complemented by a matching rubber strap measuring 26mm in width. The strap is secured by a signed Nubeo buckle.
Three Versions, 150 Pieces Each
The NUBEO ELYSIUM Automatic NASA Limited Edition is offered in three different executions, each limited to 150 individually numbered pieces. The variants are named Cosmic Navigator, Dark Frontier and Blue Galaxy.

Despite their different names and colour treatments, all three share the same 45mm stainless-steel architecture, automatic movement and NASA-inspired design language. This keeps the collection visually coherent while giving each version its own character.
Every watch is delivered in a NASA-branded protective case, reinforcing the connection between the timepiece and the spaceflight theme.
A Japanese Automatic Movement
Inside the ELYSIUM is a Japanese Miyota automatic movement, Calibre M-MIY-8215-D3. The movement provides self-winding operation and drives a conventional three-hand display with a date indication.
The mechanical movement is visible through the exhibition caseback, where the engraved “Failure is not an option” message on the rotor adds another layer to the concept. Rather than keeping the spaceflight reference exclusively on the dial, Nubeo carries it into the mechanism itself.
The watch is water resistant to 5 ATM and uses an anti-reflective mineral lens, keeping the technical specification relatively straightforward while allowing the NASA-inspired design to remain the main focus.

From Apollo 13 To The Wrist
The NUBEO ELYSIUM Automatic NASA Limited Edition takes a familiar piece of spaceflight language and translates it into a wearable object. Its most distinctive elements are not hidden behind complicated functions, but distributed throughout the watch: the NASA wordmark and message on the dial, the UV detail, and the same phrase rotating with the automatic movement beneath the caseback.

Limited to 150 pieces per variant, the NUBEO ELYSIUM Automatic NASA Limited Edition will be available from September 24, 2026, through authorised retailers and Nubeo’s official online channels. The RRP is USD 300.
