Maghnam Mohareb is the latest creation by designer and engineer Sohaib Maghnam. This new generation introduces a bold modular timepiece that blends Arab heritage with Swiss engineering and avant-garde design.
The Mohareb collection stands as a sculptural engineering object where tradition, innovation, and cultural identity converge. The name Mohareb, meaning gladiator in Arabic, reflects the concept behind the watch – a contemporary suit of armor adaptable to the wearer’s personality.
Modularity and transformation
The new Maghnam Mohareb is available in Argent Crimson and Deep Blue and introduces a modular system that allows instant transformation through three configurations: Blades, Halo, and Wings.
Each configuration creates a different visual identity, making the Maghnam Mohareb a versatile and highly customizable timepiece.
Armor-inspired design of the Maghnam Mohareb
Inspired by gladiators, the Maghnam Mohareb features blade-like elements and protective structures. The design combines polished and matte finishes with engraved details that symbolize the balance between strength and vulnerability.
This approach positions the Maghnam Mohareb as both a mechanical watch and a design object.
Bi-retrograde movement
At its core, the Maghnam Mohareb is powered by the MCR01-B manual-winding movement based on the Swiss SW210 caliber.
It features retrograde hours displayed on a 120-degree arc and a vertical linear minute display, offering a dynamic and unconventional way to read time. The power reserve is approximately 42 hours.
Comfort and engineering
Despite its bold architecture, the Maghnam Mohareb remains highly wearable. It features a 39.5 mm diameter, a slim profile, and a lightweight construction of approximately 43.5 grams. Crafted from 904L stainless steel, it ensures durability while maintaining comfort on the wrist.
