Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer Introduced
An Ultra-Thin Titanium Chronometer With A New Manufacture Micro-Rotor Movement
Swiss independent watchmaker Formex introduces the new Aria Manufacture Chronometer, a highly sophisticated integrated-bracelet watch that combines an ultra-thin titanium case, a COSC-certified manufacture movement, and an organic design language inspired by nature.
Marking the debut of the new FX01 micro-rotor calibre, co-developed with Horage, the Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer represents one of the brand’s most ambitious releases to date. Designed around both technical performance and ergonomic comfort, the new model measures just 6.9 mm thick while weighing only 78 grams including the bracelet.
Limited to just 100 individually numbered pieces for the 2026 founders edition, the Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer introduces a fresh direction for the brand while maintaining its focus on innovation, engineering, and value-driven Swiss watchmaking.

A Design Shaped By Nature
The design of the Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer was inspired by natural erosion and organic forms, creating a watch that appears sculpted over time by wind and water.

Crafted entirely from Grade 5 titanium, the 40 mm case and integrated bracelet feature flowing surfaces, hand-brushed finishing, and mirror-polished bevels that create subtle contrasts under changing light conditions.
Unlike traditional angular integrated-bracelet sports watches, the Aria embraces softer curves and highly ergonomic proportions. Every bracelet link features a slight curvature designed to improve comfort on the wrist while preserving visual fluidity between the case and bracelet.
Despite its ultra-thin profile, the watch maintains a strong wrist presence thanks to its sculptural architecture and refined finishing techniques.

A Sculptural Dial Architecture
The dial of the Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer introduces an unusual three-dimensional construction rarely seen in ultra-thin watches.
Stamped from a single piece of brass, the matte lacquered dial features a concave architectural surface where each applied index sits on a raised platform surrounded by gently recessed curves.

The small seconds display is positioned at 6 o’clock, while the Formex logo is integrated directly at 12 o’clock to preserve overall symmetry.
To enhance contrast and readability, the rose gold-colored hands and indices feature vertically brushed surfaces with mirror-polished bevels and Super-LumiNova® filling.

Formex offers the Aria Manufacture Chronometer in three dial colors:
- Selva Green — inspired by forest landscapes
- Ardesia Grey — recalling wet mountain slate
- Denso Blue — a deep matte navy tone inspired by stormy skies
Each variation reinforces the watch’s nature-inspired identity while maintaining a highly contemporary appearance.
The New FX01 Manufacture Calibre
At the heart of the Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer is the new FX01 manufacture movement, developed in collaboration with Swiss movement specialist Horage.
The calibre features a modern micro-rotor architecture designed to maximize thinness without compromising efficiency or performance.
Unlike traditional central-rotor automatic movements, the tungsten micro-rotor is integrated directly into the movement structure, allowing the calibre to measure only 2.9 mm thick.
The FX01 also introduces several advanced technical solutions, including:
- COSC-certified chronometer accuracy
- Tungsten micro-rotor
- 72-hour power reserve
- Flexible backlash-free geartrain pinion
- Full silicon regulating system
- Anti-magnetic architecture
- Small seconds at 6 o’clock
The movement operates at 25,200 vibrations per hour and incorporates silicon components for the hairspring, escape wheel, and pallet fork, improving long-term stability and reducing friction.
Visible through the sapphire caseback, the FX01 features black gold-plated bridges, vertically brushed finishing, laser-textured details, and hand-brushed bevels.

Lightweight Performance Meets High-End Finishing
One of the defining characteristics of the Formex Aria Manufacture Chronometer is its combination of technical performance and wearable comfort.
The complete titanium construction keeps the total weight exceptionally low, while the integrated bracelet incorporates Formex’s patented micro-adjustment clasp system, allowing on-the-fly extension without removing the watch from the wrist.
The ultra-thin proportions, lightweight architecture, and COSC-certified movement position the Aria as a highly modern interpretation of the integrated luxury sports watch concept.
