Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual Platinum
A 20-Piece Masterpiece of High Horology
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual Platinum represents one of the most advanced creations in modern haute horlogerie, a highly exclusive reinterpretation of the original 2024 model. Limited to just 20 individually numbered pieces, the new edition combines advanced mechanical engineering with a refined monochromatic aesthetic in platinum 950.
At its core, this timepiece unites two of the Maison’s most important technical pillars: the Duometre concept and the innovative Heliotourbillon, resulting in the Calibre 388 — one of the most sophisticated movements ever produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

A MONOCHROMATIC PLATINUM DESIGN
The 44 mm case is crafted entirely in platinum 950, reinforcing the model’s sculptural presence on the wrist. Inspired by 19th-century Jaeger-LeCoultre savonette pocket watches, the case blends rounded contours with sharply defined finishing, highlighted by polished, brushed, and micro-blasted surfaces.
The new platinum bracelet extends the design language with a seamless, integrated construction. Its five-row architecture ensures exceptional comfort, while alternating finishes enhance light reflection across the wrist.
The overall aesthetic is completed by a grey monochrome dial, combining opaline, brushed, and azuré textures for a subtle yet highly technical visual identity.

A HIGHLY ARCHITECTURAL DIAL LAYOUT
The dial of the Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual is structured around a triangular layout that reflects the underlying mechanics of the movement.
At the apex sits the Grande Date display at 3 o’clock, while two power reserve indicators balance the composition above and below the central time display. The lower section integrates the perpetual calendar indications, while the upper sector displays moon phases and days.
On the left side, the triple-axis Heliotourbillon performs its continuous motion beneath a sapphire window, set against a deep blue starry background. Red markers on the rotating cage indicate 20-second intervals, enhancing the visual dynamism of the complication.

THE HELIOTOURBILLON — A TRIPLE-AXIS INNOVATION
The Heliotourbillon represents one of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most advanced regulating systems. Unlike traditional tourbillons, this architecture operates on three rotating axes, creating a complex kinematic motion resembling a spinning top.
The system consists of three titanium cages and a cylindrical hairspring. The mechanism is supported by ceramic ball bearings to reduce friction and improve efficiency. In total, the tourbillon comprises 163 components and weighs less than 0.7 grams.
This construction enhances chronometric performance while showcasing one of the most visually captivating mechanical displays in modern watchmaking.

TWO POWER SOURCES, ONE MECHANISM
Introduced in 2007, the Duometre system solves one of horology’s fundamental challenges: maintaining precision while powering complications.
Calibre 388 uses two independent barrels and gear trains, each dedicated to a different function:
- One powers timekeeping
- The other drives complications
This separation ensures a constant and stable energy flow to the escapement, significantly improving precision even when multiple complications are active.

A PERPETUAL CALENDAR BUILT FOR THE FUTURE
The watch also integrates a perpetual calendar that automatically adjusts for varying month lengths and leap years, requiring no correction until the year 2100 (and then only in specific centenary years).
Additional features include:
- Grande Date display
- Moon phase accurate to 122 years
- Year indicator with patented leap-year marking
- Bidirectional time setting without disrupting the calendar
