Lorige BL-Evolution “Competition” Is Forged From Race-Used Brakes
Lorige becomes the Official Timekeeper of Inter Europol Competition with a 50-piece watch forged from Carbon/Carbon brake material used in the team’s winning LMP2 cars.
Lorige has announced a new partnership with Inter Europol Competition, becoming the endurance racing team’s Official Timekeeper and marking the occasion with a watch whose connection to motorsport goes considerably further than its design. The new Lorige BL-Evolution “Competition” is a 50-piece limited edition whose case and dial are made using race-used Carbon/Carbon brake material from Inter Europol Competition’s No. 43 and No. 343 LMP2 cars.
The material comes from cars that were part of the team’s successful 2026 campaign, when Inter Europol Competition secured a historic one-two finish in the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The No. 43 and No. 343 finished first and second in class, adding another chapter to a recent run of endurance racing success that also includes LMP2 victories at Le Mans in 2023 and 2025.

From Race Brake To Watch Case
The idea behind the BL-Evolution “Competition” is closely connected to Lorige’s identity. Founded in 2018 by motorsport specialists Clément Etienvre, Emeric Paraud and Philippe Dumas, the Swiss brand developed a patented process for transforming race-used Carbon/Carbon brake components into watch cases.
The process was the result of three years of research and development. Rather than using new composite material simply to reproduce the appearance of racing components, Lorige works with material that has actually experienced the heat, pressure and extreme deceleration of competition.
For this edition, Carbon/Carbon brake material from Inter Europol Competition’s No. 43 and No. 343 LMP2 cars has been repurposed into the monobloc case and dial. The result means that the material surrounding the movement has a direct physical connection to the team’s racing history.

Built Around A 50 × 42 mm Case
The BL-Evolution “Competition” measures 50 × 42 mm and combines the Carbon/Carbon case and dial with a satin-finished and polished Grade 5 titanium bezel and case back. Titanium is also used for the dynamometric crown, which incorporates grey Neoralite inserts.
The motorsport connection continues through the colour palette. Yellow and green accents across the watch reference Inter Europol Competition’s team colours, while the case back continues the same competition-inspired combination of satin finishing and grey lacquer details.
A new two-part hybrid strap combines rubber and technical fabric, taking inspiration from the construction of a racing harness. Lorige’s Quick&Release system is included as standard, while the Grade 5 titanium folding clasp combines hand-polished and satin-finished surfaces with 6 mm of fine adjustment.

A Dial Built Around The Seconds
Under the gradient sapphire crystal, the dial exposes much of the movement architecture through a skeletonised upper bridge. Hours, minutes, seconds and power reserve are all displayed, with the seconds indication receiving particular visual emphasis.
Sunray brushing radiates outward from the centre of the seconds display, drawing attention to the smallest increments of elapsed time. It is an appropriate detail for a watch associated with endurance racing, where a single second can separate competitors after hours of competition.
The redesigned two-part seconds display and power-reserve indication add further depth to the dial. Rhodium-plated numerals contain recessed Super-LumiNova GL, while the hands use Grey GL Super-LumiNova and the indexes receive White GL Super-LumiNova. Rhodium-plated rings surrounding the seconds and power-reserve displays feature yellow and green lacquer accents matching the Inter Europol Competition colours.

Seven Days Of Power
Inside the BL-Evolution “Competition” is Lorige’s new LOR-DB03 manually wound calibre. Its double-barrel construction provides a 168-hour power reserve, equivalent to seven days, giving the watch an endurance-oriented specification that mirrors the long-distance racing philosophy behind its creation.
Despite the extended power reserve and complex construction, the movement measures only 3.98 mm thick and 31.10 mm in diameter. It contains 175 components and 29 jewels and operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz.
Lorige finishes the movement using its Duo-Tone approach, combining microblasted and rhodium-plated surfaces with sunray brushing and hand-executed chamfering. Through the open dial architecture, these contrasting finishes become part of the visual identity of the watch rather than remaining hidden beneath a conventional dial.

A Partnership Built Around Endurance
The relationship between Lorige and Inter Europol Competition is based on a shared emphasis on engineering, precision and endurance. Both are independent organisations whose identities have developed around technical performance and motorsport.
Founded in 2010, Inter Europol Competition evolved from its early single-seater and prototype racing activities into an international endurance team competing across Europe, North America and Asia. Its current programmes include the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series, Michelin Le Mans Cup and Asian Le Mans Series.
Its recent LMP2 record includes three victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, achieved in 2023, 2025 and 2026. The 2026 result was particularly significant, with the No. 43 and No. 343 cars taking first and second place in class. The team also secured the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 title in 2024.

A Trophy Made From The Race
The BL-Evolution “Competition” is therefore less about reproducing a racing aesthetic than about preserving part of the physical history of a competition car. The Carbon/Carbon material used for the case and dial has already been exposed to the conditions it is intended to evoke, making the connection between watch and race car unusually direct.
That approach has become central to Lorige’s watches. The company describes its timepieces as objects that carry the material history of motorsport onto the wrist, with each piece combining Swiss watchmaking with components connected to actual racing use.
Limited to 50 pieces worldwide, the BL-Evolution “Competition” marks the beginning of Lorige’s partnership with Inter Europol Competition while turning the team’s 2026 endurance racing success into something designed to be worn rather than displayed in a trophy cabinet.
In this case, the connection between motorsport and watchmaking is not simply visual. The material itself has already been on the track.
