Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable Returns In Two New Colours
The Frog Princess returns with turquoise and brown dials, keeping its unmistakable eyes, regulator display and playful character.
The frog is back. Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin are bringing the Unfrogettable back in two new colourways, giving one of the most recognisable creations from their collaboration a new personality without changing the character that made it so distinctive. The new editions arrive in Turquoise and Brown, each limited to 178 pieces.
The Unfrogettable first appeared as a playful interpretation of the regulator, combining Louis Erard’s signature display with Konstantin Chaykin’s unmistakable Wristmons aesthetic. Rather than using conventional hands to indicate the time, the watch places two rotating eyes on the dial: the left eye indicates the hours, while the right eye indicates the seconds. Minutes are displayed around the perimeter by an arrow-shaped hand.

A Frog With A Story
The character behind the watch is not simply a visual invention. Chaykin’s frog draws from several cultural references, including the powerful sorceress Valissa the Wise in Russian folklore and the frog’s associations with good fortune and resilience in Japan. These elements are reinterpreted through Chaykin’s playful approach to mechanical watchmaking, turning the Frog Princess into a character that can change expression as its eyes continuously rotate.
The horizontal regulator layout is particularly important to the identity of the Unfrogettable. Chaykin rotated the regulator movement by 90 degrees, moving the hours to 9 o’clock and the seconds to 3 o’clock. The two eyes therefore rotate at different speeds, ensuring that the face is constantly changing while the minutes remain on the outer track.
At 6 o’clock, the dial carries another detail that is easy to miss: Louis Erard ♥ Konstantin Chaykin. It acts almost like a signature of the collaboration, integrated into the minute track rather than added as a separate decorative element.

Two New Personalities
The Turquoise version takes the more vivid approach. Its light grained base is combined with deep blue-green counters and a two-tone minute ring, with dark blue-green on the upper section and violet below. Rhodium-toned discs and hands maintain the crisp appearance of the dial, while green luminous details add visibility in darker conditions.
The Brown version moves in a warmer direction. Its light brown grained dial is framed by dark brown counters and a two-tone minute track in dark brown and ochre. The eyes, crown and minute hand receive a 5N treatment, introducing a warmer metallic tone that contrasts with the earthy dial.
Despite their different colour palettes, both versions retain the same fundamental face. The rotating pupils remain the defining element, while the green Super-LumiNova accents around the eyes and on the minute hand provide the watch with its characteristic night-time expression.

A Case Built Around The Character
The change from a conventional regulator to a horizontal display required more than simply repositioning the indications. The case itself was redesigned around the character, with the crown moving from the conventional 3 o’clock position to 12 o’clock.
The 40mm case is made from lightweight Grade 5 titanium and combines satin-finished surfaces with polished curves. The crown takes the form of a three-pointed tiara, reinforcing the Frog Princess concept. In the Turquoise edition it is rendered in polished titanium, while the Brown model receives a warm 5N PVD treatment.
At 12.45mm thick and 46.5mm from lug to lug, the proportions remain relatively compact for a watch with such a distinctive presence. A sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective treatment protects the dial, while the sapphire caseback reveals the movement underneath. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres.

Japanese Leather Meets Swiss Watchmaking
The straps add another layer of craftsmanship to the concept. Both watches are fitted with black Himeji Kurozan calfskin leather, sourced from a historic Japanese tannery and finished with traditional Urushi lacquer. The leather is hand-rubbed and naturally tanned, giving the otherwise playful watches a distinctly artisanal element.
The Turquoise edition adds violet stitching and a matching violet lining, while the Brown version remains black both outside and inside. Both are secured by a Grade 5 titanium pin buckle and feature quick-release spring bars.

The Same Frog, A Different Mood
Powering both editions is the automatic Sellita SW266-1, measuring 25.6mm in diameter and 5.6mm thick. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it provides a 38-hour power reserve and displays hours, minutes and seconds through the Unfrogettable’s unconventional regulator architecture.
The movement also features an openworked oscillating weight carrying the Louis Erard symbol. With 178 examples produced in each colourway, the new Unfrogettable editions remain deliberately limited while offering two distinct interpretations of the same character.
The Turquoise version is brighter and more surreal, while Brown gives the Frog Princess a warmer and more nocturnal presence. Yet the identity of the Unfrogettable remains immediately recognisable: the crown at noon, the rotating eyes and the ever-changing expression are still there.
The frog has changed colour, but its personality remains exactly where it belongs — on the wrist.
